Venice Beach, You Stole My Heart…

I was lucky enough to spend almost a full month living in Venice Beach, with the most incredible host. Airbnb hooked me up with not only a humble abode, but also led me to a forever friendship. My experience in Venice was all I could have dreamed it to be, and so much more. Here’s Why!

The People

One of my favorite parts of travel are the people you meet along the way. My Venice roommate became my confidant, my tour guide, and most of all, my friend! Living with someone is the fastest way to get to know them, and I am so happy that I lived with Bluu!

Besides my wonderful roommate, I also made some great new friends! There were my favorite Venice locals, that I had met months prior, and we picked up right where we left off! Then, there were the people I met when I was out and about. You never know who you are going to end up taking an Argentine Tango class with!

The Places

There is no shortage of things to do here. Living walking distance to just about everything is a lifestyle that I can get use to. Especially with the beach so close by! You will never be bored in Venice, that is a guarantee. If you want to take a yoga class? You got it. Try a delicious food truck burrito? It’s there for you. You can spend each day exploring, and continuously find something new.

The Things

When you are walking around in Venice, put your phone away, and look around… There is artwork everywhere you turn. Between beautifully crafted graffiti, to the natural wonder of the canals, the aesthetics of this city are breathtaking!

Leaving Venice was difficult, but I know for a fact that I will be back. I thought a month would be more than enough time to explore, but I was wrong! I just can’t get enough of that beautiful SoCal air down in Venice Beach!
