The Philosophy of Yolo

You can’t put a price tag on memories. Sometimes, you just have to throw your hands in the air and yell, yolo!

As my grandma always tells me, money has no value until you spend it. When you’re 6 feet under, will you be holding your checkbook? There will always be time to make more money, but it’s not possible to make more time.

My yolo splurge of the week was a stay at the historic landmark- Hotel Del Coronado. Do I regret it? Not for a damn second.

Do you know what’s better than pizza for dinner, and s’mores cheesecake for dessert? Sharing it, and spending time with wonderful company. That is something else that money just can’t buy.

Now, I’m not saying to go out there and be frivolous. Don’t go spending money that you don’t have if you can’t afford the necessities of everyday life. What I am saying, is that you can’t take it with you.

So, I’ll make an extra payment on my credit card with a smile on my face. Because I look back on that charge as a memory, not a hindrance. I said it before and I’ll say it again… you can’t put a price tag on memories.
